Gift of Giving – Final Reminder

Thank you to all those who have already delivered gifts and gift cards to 26 Park Lane!  

As a reminder, Sunday, Dec. 5 is the deadline to deliver your gifts and gift cards. If no one is home, please include your name and Wish List # on the sign-up sheet in the gift bin. Please also remember that if you chose a MCH Wish List all items should be wrapped, and if you chose a CWVP Wish List, include festive wrapping supplies with your gift card(s).

Online Mason-Rice Book Fair

This is the final opportunity to shop the online Mason-Rice Book Fair. The online fair closes this Sunday night, Dec. 5. All orders can either be shipped to your home or delivered to Mason Rice the week of Dec. 13 (at no added shipping cost), in time for holiday gifts! Shop for books here.

Also, thank you to the wonderful Mason-Rice community of volunteers (parents, specialists, teachers, students and even graduates!) who made our first outdoor Book Fair and Literacy Festival a success! From setting up book carts to judging bookmark entries to cashiers extraordinaire (especially Megan McLean), it was truly an army of support—more than 80 strong!!

A special shout out and thank you to our wonderful committee: Katie Grenzeback, Emily D’Amour, and Andrew Liu, as well as superstars Monica Carbone and Leo Curry who facilitated the huge logistical undertaking that came along with this year’s program and made this event so spectacular for the kids and greater community. 

Extra special thanks to Shelley Morgenstern and Lindsay MacAuley for their tremendous work and dedication in bringing the in-person book fair back to Mason-Rice this year. From late night organization calls to early morning set-ups, they dedicated a ton of time to bringing us this wonderful experience.

Mason-Rice Online Auction Needs Your Talent

When: January 20-30, 2022

Have a talent? Donate a homemade dessert of the month, a catered dinner, a piece of art, handcrafted goods, or any other item/service to our auction!

Did you know that your kids can get involved in the auction too? Some of our most popular donations each year are kid/family-hosted events that other Mason-Rice students can attend. Past events have included a sports and games clinic for K-2nd graders led by 5th graders, a backyard games and pizza party, a cupcake decorating party, a sewing class, and a chocolate truffle-making party, to name a few!

Chase away winter blues by helping with these to-dos! You can make a difference by signing up for specific needs here. We are grateful for every bit of help to make this year’s auction a success!
