Support for M-R Senior Custodian, Leo Curry
Many Mason-Rice families know Leo Curry, one of our beloved custodians. Leo is a kind soul, conducting himself with a constant smile and can-do-it-ness, and who is always supporting our students, staff, and school community with delight and genuine care. Last weekend, Leo awoke in his home to a nightmare—his home was on fire. We know many from our community will want to support him during this difficult time. Read more about Leo’s situation and give* to his recovery efforts here.
*An anonymous donor has offered to match any gifts, up to a total of $25,000, made to this GoFundMe to support Leo.

Support the Businesses that Support Us
Give Back: Business of the Week
Mason-Rice’s annual online auction is usually the PTO’s biggest fundraiser. This year, because of the pandemic, we are not hosting the auction. Instead, in each week’s Notes, we are spotlighting the amazing businesses that have generously supported our auction year after year. We hope that now, during their time of need, you will consider patronizing those who have consistently supported our PTO.
Don’t forget to support the previously-spotlighted businesses! You can find them in the past Notes on our PTO webpage.
Newton’s neighborhood restaurant and bar refreshingly combines a scratch kitchen menu and craft drinks with giving back to the community. We pride ourselves in delicious house-made food, creative cocktails, unique beers, and just as importantly, as leaders of positive change in our community.
Cater your Super Bowl party with us! We are offering family-size catering specials such as design-your-own Taco Bar, a bucket Fried Chicken, Bam Bam Cauliflower, Party Tenders & Party Wings. Click here to place your order.
This season we are also introducing Winter Warmer Days. Every Saturday from 2/13 – 2/27 we will be lighting our patio and serving up wintery goodies for you and your quarantine family. For $15, participants will secure a socially-distanced outdoor table, a Thermos of warm drinks and have the option to purchase fun comfort treats like warm cookies and s’mores. Please call (617) 202-6718 to secure your spot.
