Engagement

Mason-Rice has a strong reputation for offering lots of opportunities to stay connected to each other in the parent community throughout the school year. The committees of the PTO’s Engagement team organize several annual events and develop creative ways to keep everyone engaged in our wonderful Mason-Rice community. For example, we work hard to build connection and community for our incoming kindergartners and their families, and we match new families with buddy families from within the school community. We also host activities for our new families at the start and throughout the school year.

Community Events at Mason-Rice

Building community is an important part of life at Mason-Rice. The PTO supports this by hosting events throughout the year for both families and adults. These gatherings help parents, caregivers, and students connect and enjoy time together outside of the school day.

Some events include:

• Back-to-School Picnic
• Family Movie Nights
• Fun Run
• Mystery Dinner (adults only)
• …along with other opportunities to come together as a school community.

Please note: For safety reasons, all children must be accompanied by a grown-up at all PTO events that take place on school property at all times, no exceptions.
