Every year our children benefit from having Room Parents. Supporting their classroom is a fantastic way to stay connected to your child’s class activities, get to know other parents, and to be involved in the school.
Due to our unique setup this year, our goal is to be responsive to the needs of both hybrid and DLA families and will set up our room parent team in a way that makes everyone feel supported and connected. With this level of support the role will not be too time consuming and it will be loads of fun!
Our Role as a Room Parents
Each teacher will have their own ideas about how you can help out. Some teachers need help getting volunteers for class happenings, class parties, or writing workshops. Others may want help in soliciting support for art or science activities. This year, we will also look to connect our cohorts in small, meaningful ways. Staying in contact with our teacher throughout the year ensures that he or she is getting the parent support needed, and also strengthens your personal connection with the kids.
