Reminder: Schedule Swap

Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day, so Newton Public Schools has swapped the Tuesday and Wednesday schedule this week. Please be sure to note the change:

  • Tuesday, 11/3: half day for all students, all students will learn from home
  • Wednesday, 11/4: full day for all students, Hybrid A will be in person

Last day to preorder school pictures!

Today, Sunday, November 1, is the last day to preorder school pictures online from Hayward. To purchase a package go to Hayward Photography’s website (here), then:

  1. Click on “prepay for photoday”
  2. Enter the school code MAS20
  3. Once you enter your child’s name you can choose a package of pictures

A digital package can be purchased alone or with any print package.

FORJ Meeting: 11/4 at 8pm

Reminder for FORJ members to join our next meeting on Wednesday, November 4th, 8-9:30 pm. FORJ Mason-Rice is now 25 members strong! We welcome everyone to learn about racial/unconscious biases and other topics pertaining to raising anti-racial kids, educating ourselves and others in our Mason-Rice community about race etc.

MASON-RICE’S 23rd ANNUAL GIFT OF GIVING

GET READY FOR OUR 23rd ANNUAL GIFT OF GIVING. This holiday season we will again run our GIFT OF GIVING program to fulfill wishes for children in need. This year in particular there are many families that need support from our community. 

Our efforts will look a little different this year due to COVID (stay tuned), but we remain committed to this great cause. We are always in need of a few volunteers – if you can help, please contact Jay Wood or Michele Niepel.
