School Supplies Lists 2023-2024

Please click here for K-5 grade school supply lists for the Fall school year. Please keep all school supplies at home until directed by teachers to bring them in.

Safety- Blue Zone Information

These are the blue-curbed areas directly in front of the school on both sides of Pleasant Street.  These are areas for a quick drop-off or quick pick-up.  There is no parking and drivers do not get out of the car.  Children enter and exit the cars from the sidewalk.  Still not sure what the Blue Zone is?  Please watch our video:

You can read in more detail on the Blue Zone page.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation

Each year, the PTO provides multiple opportunities to thank and honor our teachers and staff. We provide luncheons, snacks in the teacher’s lounge, and a week of events in May. If you are interested in learning more or getting involved, please email masonricepto@gmail.com.

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee ensures that we are making the best use of technology in school and supports teachers and staff as needed within equity guidelines.

Outdoor Spaces

We work to best utilize the outdoor spaces available to the Mason-Rice community, both for education and recreation.

Lost & Found

Supporting and coordinating the collection and retrieval of the numerous items our children misplace throughout their time at Mason-Rice. We also arrange for donations of any usable items left behind at the end of the year.

Late Check-in

Parent volunteers support the Mason-Rice front office by helping check in late students and help them to make the transition into the school day.

School Photos

The PTO coordinates with an outside vendor to arrange individual, class, and staff photographs each year. Everyone is photographed as they are part of the school community, however, purchasing photographs (either digitally or prints) is optional.

Field Day!

Field Day is an annual event organized by the PE teachers and supported by the PTO, which brings together the whole school for an outdoor day of fun and games.
