Hello Mason-Rice Parents,
It feels like we are approaching the last day of school at lightning speed! There are several events between now and the end of the year, so we hope everyone continues to check the PTO calendar and read the weekly notes. Please join us this morning from 8:30-9:30am for the final Principal Coffee of the year. The coffee will take place in the Music Room, located just down the hall from The Centre.
Happy Raffle Basket Friday! Principal Bultema will draw tickets this morning, and by early afternoon, we will learn who will be the lucky winners in our annual Raffle Basket fundraiser. Good luck to everyone and thank you to all the generous participants! The raffle baskets would not be possible without the support of all the parents who contributed to the baskets, the coordination of the room parents, the teachers and specialists for donating excursions and everyone who purchased tickets. We want to thank Sarah Solomon for her tremendous efforts and time spent making sure this year’s raffle was a success. And a special shout out to Amanda Mahajan, Melinda Michalman, Sara Penn, Galit Rosen, Marci Shyavitz and Shana Zandman for all their help with this fundraiser.
Teacher Appreciation Week ends today, but there’s still time to do something special for the teacher(s) who mean the world to you and your children. Please consider donating to Newton School Foundations Honor Thy Teacher program. See below for further details.
Tennis anyone? – For those who want to get out and enjoy the nice (or hot) weather, socialize, and play some tennis, feel to sign up to the Mason-Rice Tennis Round Robin group. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level, join the group at: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0444A4AE29A6F49-mason1.
Today, is the deadline for student submissions to A+ Magazine. Students love seeing their work in print, and we encourage all students to participate. Click here for submission guidelines and directions on sending work. We hope to see your child’s work in A+!
We wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful caregivers that make up our Mason-Rice community.
All the best,
