The Mason-Rice FORJ (Families Organizing for Racial Justice) team is excited to be working together to understand, educate, and promote inclusion and diversity in our cities, schools, and families. There are two upcoming events that we’d love to share with you. Hope to see you there!

Day: Monday, January 15
Event: MLK Day Event
Location: First Baptist Church in Newton Centre, 848 Beacon St.
Time: Starts at 9:30 a.m.
Details: Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller, former Mayor Setti Warren, and School Superintendent David Fleishman will be honored guests at the event which this year is being hosted by Pastor Sean Witty of the Frist Baptist Church of Newton. There will be student performances by The Monologue Project: Voices of Color, Newton All City Treble Singers, Newton All City Troubadours, and Newton North Jubilee Singers, and the Myrtle Baptist Church’s The Love Tones will also perform.

Day: Wednesday, January 17
Event: “Talking about Racism with your Children: Why and How?”
Location: Salvation Army Kroc Center, 650 Dudley St, Boston, MA 02125
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
