A beloved Mason-Rice event returns in 2018! We will let you know about the date as soon as it is scheduled.
The Mason-Rice World Cultures Festival celebrates the diversity of our school community, which represents over 35 countries from around the world. Filled with delicious food, engaging display, and inspiring performances, the World Cultures Festival brings to life the history and cultures of our many countries represented by the M-R community.
The World Cultures Festival is a signature Mason-Rice event and we can’t do it without your support!
Whether you have a favorite dish, a display and/or a special performance to share, or would like to support in other ways, we invite you to get involved. Below are details about some of the opportunities available:
Displays (1-3pm): Be creative with an interactive display that celebrates your culture (or a culture you’d love to share). Past display examples include name writing, learning languages and cultural games.
Performances (1:45-2:30pm): Strut your stuff! Celebrate the diversity of the M-R community with a brief performance representative of your culture. Past performances represented India, China, and Spain, just to name a few.
Food (3-4pm): Everyone loves to sample the great variety of dishes in the food court on festival day. Consider sharing a favorite dish (appetizer, side dish, main course, dessert) with the M-R community.
Please also consider other ways to help, including: set-up, serving in the food court, reception check-in or helping with cleanup.
